The Iraqi AL-Amal Association Organizes a Training for Academics on Human Rights Research Methodologies

The Iraqi AL-Amal Association, in cooperation with the Arab Institute for Human Rights, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Human Rights Research Methodologies.” The workshop aimed to develop the capacity of 18 young academics (including 6 women) to research human rights and freedom of expression issues, and contributing to support conflict analysis and human rights. The workshop ran from April 29 to May 3, 2025.

The workshop topics included the development of human rights, research design, research methods, and the current status of freedom of expression and assembly in Iraq, with the goal of conducting in-depth academic research that supports human rights and freedoms issues in the Iraqi context.
