Al-Amal Distributes Aids to a School of Displaced Students on the Road “Ya Hussain”
On October 26, 2015, Iraqi Al-Amal Association in Najaf distributed 600 school bag, 25 table, 25 chair, two white boards, a desk and a chair to the displaced students of Nineveh Plain’s primary school. This school is established on the road “Ya Hussain” which connects Najaf and Karbala. A caravan was equipped to become a proper classroom for these displaced students inside the school.
The staff and volunteers of Iraqi Al-Amal Association carried out the distribution in coordination with Al-Ataba Al-Alawya (Imam Ali Holy Shrine) and the MCC (Mennonite Central Committee). Iraqi Al-Amal Association visited the schools of displaced students and also visited Al-Ataba Al-Alawya to coordinate and cooperate with them. They discussed some ideas and one of them was opening a Family Support Centre to provide counseling services to displaced families on the road “Ya Hussain”. Other joint activities for displaced children and students were also discussed.
The management and the staff of this school were thankful for the aid given to these students, hoping for a continuation in distributing aids. It should be mentioned that Iraqi Al-Amal Association is carrying out various activities to help the displaced in different places in Iraq.
