Promoting Partnerships between Government and Civil Society Project
As part of the Promoting Partnerships between Government and Civil Society Project, Al-Amal organized two capacity-building trainings for 22 partner organizations, with the participation of 44 representatives. The training, titled “Governance, Participatory, and Strategic Planning” and “Human Rights Campaign Writing”, were held in Erbil from November 27 to 30. The objective was to equip participants with advanced skills in management, strategic planning, and designing effective campaigns.
The Governance training focused on Principles of governance in civil society organizations, with an emphasis on enhancing internal administrative structures, Participatory planning as a tool to engage all stakeholders in decision-making processes, and Defining outcomes and results, along with actionable steps for implementation and follow-up.
Meanwhile, the Human Rights Campaign Writing training concentrated on the steps required to design impactful campaigns, starting with problem analysis, moving on to building a theory of change, and conducting risk assessments. It also included one-to-one advisory sessions to support participants in refining their campaign strategies.
Both training combined practical sessions with interactive discussions, allowing participants to apply the learned concepts to real-world scenarios
