Closing conference to strengthen dialogue between women and the government (for Hawija women)
The office of Kirkuk belong to Iraqi Alamal association held a final conference on 24 February on Hall Nowruz within the project “strengthening the dialogue between women and the government” for Hawija women which working to build the capacity and scalability 11 women and work as social researcher to resolve social issues within investigative journalism on topics (discrimination, child marriage, swapping marriage, polygamy, fear of working women and divorce) attended by member of the provincial council in the human Rights commission( Ramlet al-Obeidi) , and educational supervisors , officers and the directorate of family and child protection in addition the participated women in the project.
Hawija was selected (in the province of Kirkuk) because the suffering and persecution of women as a result of social norms and traditions unfair direction from which the most important: the distinction between male and female, and underage marriage, early divorce, in addition to polygamy.
The seminar focused on the reality of the suffering of women in the judiciary, investigative journalism was presented at the conference to be published in the newspapers, this was all to read and discuss investigative journalism and how to find appropriate solutions to the problems raised in the seminar.
