Safe Communities Initiative in Samarra and Don’t End It in Al-Alam District within the Safe Communities Project

In light of the ongoing efforts to eliminate violence against women and girls, the initiatives ( Safety in Samarra and Don’t End It in Al-Alam District) within Salah al-Din Governorate came to be a ray of hope and a call for change. With the participation of supporting individuals and institutions, the initiatives were implemented: workshops, awareness campaigns, legal support, with the aim of empowering women and enhancing their rights in an environment free of violence. Because every step towards awareness and protection makes a real difference in the lives of many. By raising awareness of the issue at the social level and expanding knowledge of the mechanisms and procedures followed in dealing with rampant cases of violence. The initiative targeted many segments of interest and attachment to the issue, the most important of which are “women victims, decision-makers, clerics, representatives of civil society organizations, activists, actors and human rights defenders, while ensuring their effective participation and voluntary efforts of the Tadrak Organization and the Dijlah Volunteer Team in partnership with the Iraqi Al-Amal Association and the Dutch PAX Organization within the Safe communities project
