Al-Amal Distributes Aid to 770 IDPs in Najaf
On 5th January 2016, Iraqi Al-Amal Association office in Najaf has distributed stationary bags for more than 720 students along with some folders, two computers and books on treating children by teachers and parents presented to the administration of Al-Nabee Younis Primary School for the IDP’s at Najaf – Karbala road. The work of Iraqi Al-Amal Association and the activities of its office and the Family Support Centre in Najaf were introduced in with the school administrator and the educational supervisor of the IDP’s schools in Najaf Education Directorate and Al-Ataba Al-Alawiya.
Al-Amal office also distributed winter covers and towels for 50 IDP’s in Najaf, at Najaf – Karbala road, in different places in Al-Radhawiya area and other places on 5th and 6th January 2016.The distribution was in coordination and cooperation with Al-Ataba Al-Alawiya staff who provided database of the IDP’s and volunteers.
These activities come as part of the office activities targeting the IDP’s in order to provide part of their requirements and improve their conditions. The Association has worked on many IDP cases in distributing aid, empowerment training, protection and education. In addition, Al-Amal Family Support Centres work on issues relating to gender based violence and provide legal, social and psychological consultations.
